Never Again. As Dems (Democrats or demagogues?) continue with their tired anti-Trump (i.e. ‘The Resistance’) agenda, one wonders if they have any purpose or goals aside from a nihilistic push to normalize all things perverse, thereby and by other means, to bring about the destruction of the America we have known to be the catalyst for many past and present entrepreneurial enterprises and spiritual pursuits. An America that has been so tolerant of variegated views that a new ‘tolerance’ has evolved—as if from the ashes of tolerance—calling for the acceptance of a myriad of anti-Christian, perverted views and for all practical purposes, zero tolerance for dissent. A tolerance only for secular humanism and likeminded, perhaps more institutionalized, religions. American humanists have almost succeeded in elevating humanism as the only acceptable ‘religion’ in America’s political arena and academia. Don’t take me wrong, I do understand that humanism is very tolerant of all religions—except two specific threats to it. They are the two religions of the people of God’s Book, the Old Testament Jew and the New Testament Christian.

One may be wishy-washy and get by, but when the Christian, especially, stakes his or her claim and takes a stand to live and speak up for God and His kingdom, he or she is a direct threat to secular humanism. Take our Creator God out of the conversation and humanism finds an illusion of equilibrium. Bring our Creator God into the conversation and humanism’s foundation begins to crack. Bring in being saved from our sins by our Lord Jesus Christ and its ground trembles, the foundation cracks widen, and humanism’s carefully built belief structure crumbles into the hole it has dug for itself. The humanist may prattle on about tolerance but take special note of the lack of substance, the lack of foundational Truth, or for that matter, of any foundation with a positive, and not a negative, premise. ‘’For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.’’ (I Corinthians 3:11)

One wonders how much wider the cracks and how much more crumbling before the organized party of Dems collapses into the hole it has dug for itself? I do not wish evil on anyone, but I do hope the party itself collapses, because of its humanism, or, its lawmakers repent. I pray for the latter. America’s two-party system has served her well so long as both parties varied on the means to reach goals and yet had a basic commonality of understanding and agreement about goals to be reached and the basis upon which those goals were founded. Perhaps it is time to replace the party nihilating itself into irrelevance.

The party of Dems, whether by sloppiness, or by design, has dropped original goals, as well as the original basis for those goals, upon the trash heaps of history and are now ashamed of what they deem to be trash, not aware that the dog has turned to its own vomit and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. (II Peter 2:22) As the dog growls and the sow oinks, all pretense of adhering to a stabilizing basis of Truth drops away only to be replaced by…nothing. The pretext of knowing what they stand for has given way to such a level of negativity that the one call to a unified purpose comes up negative, as juxtaposed against a positive purpose springing from a sound basis, pressing toward a positive goal.

As President Trump keeps on winning, the pointless rhetoric against him keeps on whining. Because he has become ‘the point’. Humanism, in practice, begins with man and ends with man. Man, as in man and woman, is its focus. Its policies are an endless merry-go-round (with the omission of ‘merry’) as its people keep dying like the rest of us, as this idea, then that idea, arise from the perverted trash heaps of history to be presented as if it were an altogether new phase of evolution.  May our response be; Never Again!

God never meant for men and women to live without Him. Yes, we live in a broken world. Yes, God understands that we live in a broken world. But God’s purpose for us is to not live a broken life. His goal is for us to yield the broken pieces of our lives to Him so He can take those broken pieces and re-mold them more and more into His image. (Jeremiah 18:1-4 Romans 8:29)  That which man would discard; God restores to new life.

The above is the history of my life. My life also has had broken pieces. Broken pieces that I couldn’t, and can’t, stand in myself. Broken pieces that I tried hard to fix. Broken pieces that I come to God with and He knows what to do. He graciously receives our brokenness. He rebuilds. He remakes. His merciful grace never ceases to amaze me. He desires Truth in the inward parts. (Psalms 51:6, II Corinthians 4:16)  He restores right thinking.

‘’Education,’’ said Albert Einstein, ‘’is not (only) the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think.’’ Good word, Mr. Einstein. God, in His Word, even tells us how and what to think! ‘’Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.’’ (Philippians 4:8)  Amazing! Liberating! Freedom! God even tells us how to think! He begins with an exhortation to Truth and ends with an exhortation to praise!
