Societies, and their politics, are best understood by observing who their heroes, and their martyrs, are. If indeed they have any. In the case of not, then that observation gives an understanding, however morbid, as well.
For Christians, Jesus Christ is the ultimate hero, the ultimate martyr. A great cloud of witnesses have followed his call to discipleship and have become heroes in their own sphere of influence, influencing others to such a degree as to incur an elevated level of evil wrath from the enemy of our souls, who then aided and abetted his people on earth to bring false accusations against the faithful, even causing many pious souls to be deprived of their bodies, killed because of hatred for anything influentially right and good. The Old Testament faithful believed in a coming Messiah. They were those who desired and sought ‘’a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city.” (Hebrews 11:16 -the faith chapter)
New Testament Christians have the fulfillment of that Promise, our Hero, our Perfect influence, our Perfect martyr, in that He died for our sins. He remains our Perfect, our ultimate, Hero. The grave could not hold Him! Death had, and has, no dominion over Him! Jesus Lives! He rose again for our justification! He is seated at the right hand of God! He intercedes for us! Imagine that! Having a personal Lawyer pleading our case to Almighty God, our Maker, whom we initially turned away from, afraid of His holiness, afraid of His wrath because of our guilt.Almighty God, to Whom our Lawyer, our Advocate, has called us back to, and when we came to Him, even in our shame, we were given a clean slate, our sins forgiven, because our Advocate proclaimed His Love for us by taking our place! Let us be faithful to the end!
That is an exciting message! That is an exciting hope! It is exciting to say of a surety: Jesus Lives! Surely He does! and that devastating to the flesh, but liberating to the spirit Reality, is still reverberating through the world of today, seeking the lost, turning us into the saved, switching unbelief into believing, mourning into joy, heaviness and gloom into glory and light! Let us be steadfast, our time is soon gone as the wind. Then when time is no more: Jesus Lives!
Moral relativism, the idea that morality has no absolutes but is in flux, being relative to a given situation, also referred to as situational ethics, has taken as much of the world as atheism, spurred on by Darwinism, has paved the way for. It fits in well with Communism which has a notorious contempt for defenseless innocence. Moral relativism fits in well with Islam as its Jihadists see western decline as opportunity for expansion. The idea of moral relativism also fits in well with those rioting at hotels housing ICE agents, attacking them verbally, andotherwise attempting to physically impede the progress of these federal officials who have U.S. Constitutional law on their side. (Article IV Section 4 ‘’The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican form of government and shall protect each of them against invasion…’’) There is no question to the political Right that the Biden administration, in allowing (inviting) 7.8 million poorly vetted (if indeed vetted at all) border crossings, plus at least 1.5 million ‘’gotaways’’ (detected by CBP technology) is the definition of ‘Invasion’.The Left keeps insisting that Right-wing policies are inhumane, intolerant, and (if nothing else lands well) racist. Resisting ICE then becomes a ’loving’ thing to do.
Many are swept up in the emotion-driven furor. Doing wrong for a humanly perceived higher good is a hallmark of humanism which depends on mankind alone. Which in applicationmeans trust in his or her feelings, as, being bereft of any other guiding principle, or principles, he or she has nothing to go on for right and wrong beyond himself or herself, his or her contemporaries, or all three. The end, then, seems to justify the means.
In the Christian faith (not as in man-made creeds but as in Biblical faith) the means and the goal must not contradict the Bible’s emphasis on the Fall of man and our risen Savior. Man-made creeds justifying evil means to bring about good ends have been the bane of church leaders as well as political tyrants.
The 4 years of Biden administration border failures have now been determined by many as being an attempt to flood the country with Democrat voters. The clincher to that argument was when Democrat lawmakers voted down the SAVE act which required proof of citizenship ID to vote in U.S. elections. They were able to vote it down because of the filibuster (60 votethreshold needed to pass) and so they did.
Nov. 5th 2020 to Jan. 20th 2021 gave the human and drug trafficking cartels time to set up their operations in preparation for Biden taking office and according to U.S. Senator John Cornyn and others, around 300,000 unaccompanied children have been encountered at the border and then placed with sponsors inside the U.S.. According to an article in The New York Times these children are forced to work in the U.S. to pay their traffickers.
Fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, deadly ‘recreational’ drugs, had easier access across the southern border during the Biden years due to Biden policies, added to the sheer mass of immigrants, hampering border agents from doing their job. Meanwhile the cartels have raked in the money. Bianca De La Garza, author of; Incoming – On the Frontlines of the Left’s War on Truth reports 13 billion (yes that’s a b) taken in by Mexican drug cartels. Per year. The devil has pushed his own ‘heroes’ and ‘martyrs’ in his war against Truth.
Will the real heroes please stand up.
